Miss Elizabeth Bennet

Miss Elizabeth Bennet by A.A. Milne is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s book Pride and Prejudice written in 1936. Ghostlight Ensemble presented a live staged reading of the play as part of the General Meeting of the Jane Austen Society of North America. The meeting took place on October 15, 2021 in Chicago.

Alexandra Alontaga

Alexandra Alontaga (Lydia/Miss Bingley) is pleased to be a part of Miss Elizabeth Bennet. As theatre slowly makes its return, she encourages everyone not only to stay safe, but also to fully embrace the changes that are necessary for the community. Alex has done acting, event and directing work with Random Acts Chicago and Munroe Park Theatre Guild. Her most recent credits include Sunshine and the Sea of Lost Things in Ghostlight Theatre’s 2021 Make/Believe Fest and Edwin Drood with Blank Theatre Company. She is currently rehearsing for Hookman with Munroe Park. Outside of theatre, Alex enjoys teaching preschool, making art and spoiling her two cats.

Justin Broom

Justin Broom* (Mr. Charles Bingley/Colonel Fitzwilliam) is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in radio/television and in theater. He recently appeared in the Ghostlight productions of Warp & Woof, The Thirteenth Chair, as well as staged readings of Reality Bites and Must Eat TV 3. Other favorite productions include: Julius Caesar, Stone Soup Shakespeare (Ensemble); Lively Stones, Running With Scissors Theatre Co. (Gov. John Winthrop); Torak the Inadequate, Southern Illinois University (Torak).

Kelsey Fehlberg

Kelsey Fehlberg (Mr. Bennet/Sir William Lucas/Mr. Gardiner) is an improviser, sketch comedian and graphic designer. She’s a graduate of the Severn Darden Graduate and Conservatory Programs at The Second City and the iO Theater Improv program, and a proud member of Improvised Jane Austen.

Lotus Lindez

Lotus Lindez (Mr. George Wickham/Mr. Collins) is a voiceover artist, singer and performer. After growing up and wrestling gators in South Florida, Lotus came ready to rock it in the Chicago theatre scene in 2018. By day they work as a UX designer for medical facilities. By night they are constantly experimenting with all kinds of performance: from voiceover, short films, storytelling, and musicals to sketch comedy, improv, and traditional plays. Lotus is a member of the Echo Theatre Collective whose mission is to uplift marginalized voices and promote cultural understanding through the performing arts. You may also find them performing regularly as a cast member for the Improvised Jane Austen improv team, and hosting the podcast Conscious Culture.

Song Marshall 

Song Marshall* (Miss Elizabeth Bennet) is originally from Los Angeles. She holds a bachelor's degree in theatre from Flagler College. Since moving to Chicago in 2009, Song has worked with The Other Theatre Co, Blue Goose Ensemble, Raven Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre and she is a company member of Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre and of Terra Mysterium. Favorite credits include: Emma Goode in A Midwinter Night’s Tale (Terra Mysterium), Lady Basildon, in An Ideal Husband (Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre), Tilly in Operation Marshmallow Fluff for Bechdel Fest 7 (Broken Nose Theatre), Understudy of Ruby Faison in Rabbit Summer (RedTwist Theatre) and Tilly in Season 5 of the radio drama Immunities by Dueling Genre Productions.

Allison McCorkle

Allison McCorkle (Mrs. Bennet/Mrs. Gardiner/Lady Catherine) is thrilled to be playing with Ghostlight again after this spring's Distinguished Villa! A graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, she’s been in Chicago for 13 years and worked with various theatres, including Black Ensemble Theater, Red Tape Theatre and GreatWorks. She was last seen onstage in Bury Me with Dandelion Theatre and An Ideal Husband with Ghostlight. The pandemic has brought some great play readings and an exploration of voiceover work. Thanks and love to Zach.

Jessye Grace Mueller

Jessye Grace Mueller (Miss Jane Bennet) is an actor, writer, and improviser based in Chicago. Selected credits include: Improvised Jane Austen (Bughouse Theater, iO Chicago), Ask Your Doctor: A Pharmaceutical Musical, Trigger Happy Season 5 (Annoyance Theatre), This American Lie, Mary Scruggs Works by Women Festival, The Masterpiece Players Present: Improvised Masterpiece Theatre (Donny's Skybox), Warp and Woof and Playoffs (Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre). Jessye has studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in its Experimental Theatre Wing and has her BA in theatre and drama from Indiana University-Bloomington. She also studied in The Second City Training Center’s Conservatory and Music Conservatory. You can catch her on the Hello From The Magic Tavern spinoff series Usidore's Fetching Quests and on The Topical, a daily podcast from The Onion.

Sydney Ray

Sydney Ray* (Miss Kitty Bennet/Miss Charlotte Lucas) is an Actor and Educator based in Chicago, IL. Theatre credits include: The Princess Without Pots (Queen), Ghostlight Ensemble; The Wild Party (Kate), Music for Theatre Chicago; Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife) and Spoon River Anthology, E.D.G.E. Theatre; and Ruddigore (Women’s Chorus), Savoyaires. She is a company member with Ghostlight Ensemble and is incredibly delighted to be here with all of you today. A HUGE Thank You to her friends, family and teachers for their continuous support.

Aaron Wertheim

Aaron Wertheim (Mr. Darcy) This is Aaron’s second appearance with Ghostlight Ensemble. He was previously seen as Sir Robert Chiltern in An Ideal Husband. He has also had the pleasure of working with Victory Gardens, First Folio Theatre, Babes With Blades and Eclectic. Thank you to the Jane Austen Society of North America and thank you to Holly.

Holly robison

Holly Robison* (Director) is Producing Director with Ghostlight Ensemble and a Chicago-based director, actor and improvisor. Favorite directing credits include An Ideal Husband, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  She has studied directing with various organizations, including the summer program, A Practical Approach to Directing, at Yale School of Drama, and is a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab. Holly has a long history of engaging with Austen, particularly in performance.  She is also a Cast Member and Producer with Improvised Jane Austen and a JASNA member.
