DOT: A Musical Cabaret Inspired by the Works of Carl Sagan

Created by by Sydney Ray & Randy Nygel

See that dot? That’s here. That’s home. That’s us.

From far enough away, everything we know becomes impossibly small. Every triumph. Every heartbreak. Every war. Every love. Every person who has ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what it all means.

Through music, storytelling and an ensemble of interconnected characters, DOT explores what it means to be human on one tiny world suspended in an enormous universe.

Across stories of ambition, conflict, love, loss, survival and hope, our performers wrestle with the beautiful and sometimes ridiculous ways we spend the brief time we are given and what it truly means to live a life.

Part concert, part theatre and part love letter to humanity, DOT asks us to look at ourselves from a little farther away and consider one simple question: If this tiny dot is all we have, what will we do with our time on it?
