Performer Bios
Ann Marie Carrothers
An award winning digital educator and performer, Ann Marie is a jill of all trades who has worked in fields ranging from television production and the performing arts to web design and education. Ann Marie has participated in every aspect of the theatre scene, from sketch comedy and playwriting to Chinese opera and Turkish shadow puppet theatre. When not developing education apps or teaching kids how to do amazing things with robots, you can find her performing stand up comedy and filming sketches around Chicago.
Alina Taber
Alina Taber is an actress and jazz singer based in Chicago. She has performed at City Winery, the Skokie Theatre, Davenport’s, and with Shirley King, daughter of B.B. King, at Motor Row Brewing. Her acting career can be defined most notably by her four season run as Lexi Olinsky on Chicago PD, but she has also done staged works with A Red Orchid Theatre, Theatre Seven of Chicago, Clockwise Theatre and TEATRON- Chicago’s first Jewish Theatre Festival. Recently, she has become an Artistic Associate with Ghostlight Ensemble and is absolutely thrilled about it!

Improvised Jane Austen
With independent heroines, misunderstood suitors, meddling mothers, and charming cads, Improvised Jane Austen creates a Regency love story on the spot throughout Chicago. The women of the company take an audience suggestion and craft a story the most prominent female author of the 19th century may have written and carry it through misadventures and misunderstandings to its proper British conclusion.
J. Rohr
J. Rohr is a Chicago native with a taste for history and wandering the city at odd hours. In order to deal with the more corrosive aspects of everyday life he runs the blog Honesty Is Not Contagious and makes music in the band Beerfinger.
Jacob Mayfield
Jacob Mayfield is a leading Mind Reader from Chicago. Mayfield specializes in a kind of magic called mentalism or mind reading. There will be no rabbits or top hats in his performances. Instead, get ready for telepathy, ESP and psychic phenomena. His performances are always high-energy and packed with audience participation. Mayfield can be seen performing around Chicago and touring through the Midwest.
JaE Green
Jae Green is a poet, performance artist, oncological activist and mother living in Chicago. You can find her work in Antirrhinium, Smithsonian Magazine and Open Fist or at local galleries like WomanMadeGallery or The Martin.
Miss Alley Cat
Miss Alley Cat is a dancer that performs mainly in variety shows including the Beast Women, Cafe Cabaret and others. She has her own not-for-profit performance company launched in 2019, Labyrinth Arts and Performance Collective, and has produced variety shows, theatrical productions, music concerts, readings, art shows and more. Coming in January for Rhinofest is HOTEL VIOLET — a spectacle live music video to a song set starring Violet and the Labyrinth Dancers Saturdays at 10:30 at Prop Theater.
Terra Mysterium
Terra Mysterium is a professional, nonprofit, performing arts organization dedicated to the creation of experiential and educational works of theatre and community enrichment through the theatrical arts. We seek to foster an appreciation of theatre, mythology, sustainability, diversity, mindfulness for the Earth and all its inhabitants, social issues and the exploration of culture creation within our theatrical performances and educational initiatives.
