Ghostlight begins its 9th Season with a three-part cabaret experience devised by Ensemble Member Khnemu Menu-Ra, 3 Stages of Love.

The semi-autobiographical work features a blend of Shakespeare and song – along with original pieces. The full series will run over three Friday nights in September — no need to attend all three, each piece stands alone as a complete work, but a richer story unfolds if you see the entire cycle.

3 Stages of Love takes place upstairs at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro (3905 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60613) on Friday, September 5, 12 & 19, 2025.

420 CABARET and Danksgiving Celebration

A night of music, comedy and more to celebrate Danksgiving at The Sixpenny Bit (5800 West Montrose Avenue Chicago, IL 60634). Musical guests include Malizabeth, Svnflwrchld and Asha Omega. Comedians include Dana Norris and Christine Marie as Mary Jane Stewart with Nitty Gritty burlesque. There is a suggested donation $4.20 to support the performing artists. Please note that the bar at The Sixpenny Bit is cash only. ATM Available. This is a 21+ Event. Holiday Cabernet

Ghostlight Ensemble Theatre hosts its fifth Holiday Cabernet – an evening of holiday classics (or not-so-classics) by favorite G.E.T. performers, emerging artists and surprise guests in a cabaret-style setting with an M.C. who overindulges in the holiday spirits.

In addition to performances, the event will include a holiday market by local artists and artisans, as well as a silent auction.

G.E.T. Yule holiday spirits on with us this December!

The Cabernet takes place at Mrs. Murphy and Sons Irish Bistro (3905 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60613).

Ghostlight Ensemble’s Holiday Cabernet is back for a third year — in a slightly altered format. Thanks to the Year(s) of COVID, we’ll be presenting a virtual season, including our popular holiday offering. So prepare to G.E.T. toasted in your pjs at home, while we enjoy an evening of holiday classics (or not-so-classics) by favorite G.E.T. performers, emerging artists and surprise guests in a virtual setting with a host filled with holiday spirits!

Taking the emcee mic this year is the glamorous Coco Sho-Nell, a fierce drag performer with roots in musical theatre. G.E.T. into the holiday spirits and join us for a night of song, dance, theatre, good cheer and revelry. G.E.T. yule holiday fun on!

The Eccentric Expedition

Journey with us into the outer regions of space, time and taste, as Sir Professor Captain Zero Fox and his crew of misfit explorers* bring you the best snippets of sci-fi you’ll find in this universe. 

What will each journey hold? Will there be aliens? Dancers? Robots? Singers? Wrestlers? Intergalactic criminals? Ukulele players? Just a guy eating crickets? Who knows! Space is unpredictable, as is this show. The only sure thing is you won’t forget this cruise through the cosmos aboard the OSS Bradbury. The Eccentric Expedition is a late night science fiction variety show like none you’ve ever seen. 

It’s a mad tea party in space and you’re invited! So grab your space suit and whatever other supplies you need to survive in the vacuum of the abyss and join us on this weird strange trip. The Eccentric Expedition takes off every first Friday of the month at Otherworld Theatre Co.

*This crew includes Ghostlight Ensemble’s Maria Burnham who serves as Sir Professor Captain Zero Fox’s First Fox. It also regularly features contributions from other Ghostlight Ensemble members.
