Biographies

Justin Broom

Justin Broom (Charles Honeywood; Monkland; Waller) is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in radio/television and in theater. He recently appeared in the Ghostlight productions of Warp & Woof, The Thirteenth Chair, as well as staged readings of Miss Elizabeth Bennet, Reality Bites and Must Eat TV 3. Other favorite productions include: Julius Caesar, Stone Soup Shakespeare (Ensemble); Lively Stones, Running With Scissors Theatre Co. (Gov. John Winthrop); Torak the Inadequate, Southern Illinois University (Torak).

Reid Henry

Reid Henry (Mr. Merton; Sir Marmaduke Ingot; Bellfield) is a Chicago-based actor, incredibly glad to be making his return to the stage after a nearly two year hiatus. His most recent credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged, Titus Andronicus, Leipzig, All’s Well that Ends Well and Romeo and Juliet. He hopes everyone stays safe, so we can all keep enjoying the theatre together in person.

AndreW Jessop

Andrew Jessop (Augustus Merton) was last seen in the remount of Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play at Theater Wit where he reprised his role of Sam/Mr. Burns. Past notable theatre credits include A Christmas Carol (Goodman); Naperville (Theater Wit); Completeness (Theater Wit); Lobby Hero (Redtwist); Pillowman (Redtwist). Film/TV credits include Death To Metal; Chicago Med. Andrew was also honored to once be the voice of the Kool-Aid Man. You can see Andrew next in Clue at Mercury Theatre starting on October 13, 2022. Special thanks to my two loves, Ana and Honeybutter.

Song Marshall

Song Marshall [she/her] (Olivia Fairfield; Co-Adaptor) originally from Los Angeles. She holds a bachelor's degree in theatre from Flagler College. Since moving to Chicago in 2009, Song has worked with The Other Theatre Co., Raven Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre and The Plagiarists. She is a company member of Ghostlight Ensemble and Terra Mysterium. Favorite credits include; Emma Goode in A Midwinter Night’s Tale (Terra Mysterium), Lady Basildon, in An Ideal Husband (Ghostlight Ensemble), Tilly in Operation Marshmallow Fluff for Bechdel Fest 7 (Broken Nose Theatre), Understudy of Ruby Faison in Rabbit Summer with RedTwist Theatre, Tilly in season 5 of the radio drama Immunities by Dueling Genre Productions and the Engineer in the premiere production of I Build Giants (The Plagiarists).

Sydney Ray

Sydney Ray (Letitia Merton; Miss Danby) is an actor and educator based in Chicago. Theatre credits include: The Princess Without Pots (Queen), Ghostlight Ensemble; The Wild Party (Kate), Music for Theatre Chicago; Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife) and Spoon River Anthology, E.D.G.E. Theatre; and Ruddigore (Women’s Chorus), Savoyaires. She is an Ensemble Member with Ghostlight Ensemble and is incredibly delighted to be here with all of you today. A HUGE “Thank you” to her friends, family and teachers for their continuous support.

Holly Robison

Holly Robison (Director; Co-Adaptor) is a producing director with Ghostlight Ensemble and a Chicago-based director, actor and improvisor. For Ghostlight, she curates the ongoing For Your (Re)Consideration reading series and directed a staged reading of Pride and Prejudice for the Jane Austen Society of North America's Annual Meeting. Other favorite directing credits include An Ideal Husband, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She has studied directing with various organizations including: the summer program, A Practical Approach to Directing, at Yale School of Drama and she is a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab. She is also a cast member and producer with Improvised Jane Austen.

 

Ana Silva

Ana Silva (Mrs. Honeywood; Lady Ingot; Young George) is proud to be making her Ghostlight Ensemble debut. Recent theater credits include The Sound of Music (The Marriott Theatre), Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play (Theater Wit), Kentucky (The Gift Theater), She the People (The Second City), In the Heights (Casa 0101 & Teatro Nuevos Horizontes) and Searching for Aztlán (Teatro Milagro). Both a writer and a performer, Ana co-wrote and starred in the award winning web series In-Diana and short film Speeding Towards Red Lights. You can hear Ana as Maddie Crocker in the upcoming narrative audio episodic On the Night Train (The Merry Beggars). In her free time, Ana runs a candle shop on Etsy with her partner Andrew Jessop. Kayla V. White

Kayla V. White [they/she] (Dido; Caroline Lumley; Angelina) was born in Detroit, grew up in Phoenix, but finally feels at home here in Chicago. They earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University, and has since been performing, directing, choreographing and teaching dance/theatre/yoga in the greater Chicago area. Teaching accessible yoga and making art are their two great loves, and they are moved by this and every opportunity to elevate their community.
